At the 2026 Manila International Auto Show, GWM Philippines previewed the all-new Haval H7. Now, the Chinese carmaker has officially launched its newest SUV.
Unlike its bigger H9 sibling, the Haval H7 packs an electrified powertrain across the range, with two options available: a traditional hybrid and a plug-in hybrid. These hybrid engines under the hood are easily the higlights of this new model, so let’s start with those.
The base HEV 2WD packs a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbopetrol with a 1.53kWh battery. The setup powers the single electric motor mounted up front, and the system outputs a total of 244hp and 540Nm.

The higher PHEV 2WD variant gets the same gasoline engine with a bigger 19.09kWh battery. In total, this plug-in hybrid system generates 322hp and 540Nm of torque. It has an EV-only range of 105km.
The top-of-the-line trim is also a plug-in hybrid with the same engine and battery setup as the aforementioned PHEV trim, but with the addition of an electric motor at the rear that enables four-wheel drive. This system puts out 359hp and 760Nm and has a maximum EV range of 91km.
