The 10th-generation Honda Civic managed to do two things upon its release in 2016: It brought the fun factor back to the iconic nameplate, and it got Filipino customers and enthusiasts excited. Following up that initial success, Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) has just introduced this facelifted version.

The changes to the compact sedan include a redesigned front fascia and new wheels—18-inch Belrina Black alloys for the RS variant, and 16-inch Shark Gray Metallic alloys for the 1.8 E. Inside, the RS and the 1.8 E get an updated seven-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while the RS gets additional new sports pedals.

Along with the refresh, HCPI is also introducing a new base 1.8 S variant, which features halogen headlamps with daytime running lights, and 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels. As far as engines go, the 1.5-liter turbo (171hp, 220Nm) and the 1.8-liter i-VTEC (139hp, 174Nm) remain.

Available colors are the new Platinum White Pearl (for an additional P20,000), Cosmic Blue Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic for the 1.8 E and the 1.8 S, Modern Steel Metallic for the RS Turbo and the 1.8 E, and the RS-exclusive Rallye Red.

The suggested retail prices for the new Civic are as follows:

2019 Honda Civic

  • Honda Civic RS Turbo CVT – P1,608,000
  • Honda Civic 1.8 E CVT – P1,185,000
  • Honda Civic 1.8 S CVT – P1,115,000
