The Hyundai Elantra N is arguably one of the most exciting cars in the market right now, especially since it comes from a brand that hasn’t always been known for performance.
We’ve driven it before, and we’ve even tried pitting it against one of its closest rivals in the Honda Civic Type R. It’s a darn good car, but if there’s one thing we know about it, it’s that it needs a manual gearbox.

Fortunately for us enthusiasts, Hyundai Motor Philippines has finally (albeit quietly, without any formal announcement outside of a Facebook post) launched manual variants of its performance sedan.

The social media post shows photos of the stick shift as well as three pedals, and it links out to the product page of the Elantra N. There, a bit more specs are indicated.

Mechanically, the manual and the automatic Elantras are identical, so no changes here. This one still gets the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that puts out 276hp and 392Nm of torque, only, of course, it’s paired with a new six-speed manual. This new Elantra N variant gets a rev-matching feature.
Now, as for the price, the manual Elantra N stickers for P2.638 million, making it slightly more affordable than the DCT variant. What do you think of this one, folks?
