Hyundai is set to grow the Ioniq range with the addition of a new crossover. Dubbed the Ioniq 9, it’s set to be revealed at the 2024 Los Angeles Auto Show and become Hyundai’s flagship EV.
The second teaser for the large crossover has been shown, revealing more of its shape, as well as the front end. By the looks of it, it’s more like a sleeker interpretation of an SUV with a relatively low roofline. It does look like it has decent ground clearance, though.

But aside from that, Hyundai showed a few snippets of the interior, at the back seats. It’s confirmed that it will be available with captain chairs at the back, and we also see a bit of its minimalist door panel. It’s also worth pointing out that it has three-row seating.
The Ioniq 9 will ride on the Hyundai-Kia E-GMP chassis. That platform also underpins the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, as well as the Kia EV5, EV6, and EV9. As for the powertrain, it’s likely to be shared with the EV9.
