Now we know what Hyundai has up its sleeve for the 2019 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS).

The Korean car manufacturer has revealed that it’s set to display an all-new ‘crossover utility vehicle,’ or CUV (though you can probably file this term under ‘marketing speak’) called the Venue at NYIAS 2019. The vehicle will be the company’s smallest segment entry to date, and is being pitched as a trendy and hip new offering.

Trendy and hip new small crossovers. Boy, we’ve seen plenty of those in the past few years. We’re imagining something along the lines of the Hyundai Kona, the Ford EcoSport, and the Kia Stonic.

Anyway, that’s all we have to work with so far. That, and a photo of the car’s badge out back featuring its moniker spelled out in a rather elegant font.

Expect more to be revealed when the vehicle is revealed to the world via an augmented reality livestream in mid-April.  Do you think this Hyundai will bring anything new to the small crossover game?
