The Indian automotive market is driving the car industry to go small. Here is the Honda Vision XS-1, the Japanese carmaker's concept for a small crossover vehicle in the near future. It is now on display at the 12th Auto Expo in New Delhi, which will open to the public tomorrow, February 7, and run until February 11.
"Based on Honda's original 'man maximum, machine minimum' concept, the Vision XS-1 fuses together two different values--a sporty exterior styling and amazing spaciousness--in a compact body," Honda says in a statement. "Furthermore, based on the design concept 'Exciting H Design', our human-centered design concept was embodied in this model."
Honda adds that the Vision XS-1 was "designed to represent our creativity in designing compact vehicles whose market is growing all around the world. Although there is no mass-production plan for this model at the moment, we chose to exhibit the world premiere of this model in India, a rapidly growing market where Honda has strong ties."
Well, thanks to India, we can expect to see more small cars in the years to come.
