Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines has launched the J5 SHS-H at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show, starting at P999,000. The J5 SHS-H is Jaecoo’s hybrid crossover, and looks to compete with other entry-level-priced HEVs available on the market.
The J5 SHS-H has a self-charging hybrid system consisting of a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor, producing a combined 221hp and 295Nm of torque. The crossover can accelerate from 0-100kph in 7.9sec, while achieving a fuel consumption of 18.9km/L. It also has a range of 980km from its 51-liter tank.

As for dimensions, the J5 SHS-H measures 4,380mm long, 1,860mm wide, and 1,650mm tall, with a 155mm laden ground clearance. The car sits on 18-inch wheels and strikes a balance between a premium and rugged aesthetic. It features a large grille, horizontal headlamps and taillights, and a roof that slopes slightly toward the rear.

The J5 SHS-H will be available in two variants: Comfort and Luxury. Both variants come with safety and driving-assist features like auto hold, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, cruise control, and a speed-limit reminder as standard. Meanwhile, the Luxury variant receives additional features such as blind-spot detection, lane-change assist, a 360-degree camera, and front parking sensors.
