Welcome to the new Jeep Cherokee, the sixth generation of a nameplate that stretches back to the early ’70s, revealed here ahead of a full launch later this year. It’ll go on sale in 2026.
The all-new model will be underpinned by the STLA Large platform shared among other big-boned Stellantis SUVs. That architecture is built to accommodate multiple powertrains, ranging from pure ICE to hybrid to full electric. Jeep hasn’t said exactly what’ll power the new Cherokee just yet, but there will be...power.

The sixth-gen gets Jeep’s familiar grille—echoed across the range as in the Compass and the Wagoneer—with chunkier, squared-off headlights and bold vents on either side of the lower central mesh, too. Looks fairly robust so far, at least.
Jeep reckons this new Cherokee will be competitively priced to sit between the Compass and the Grand Cherokee. More details when we get it.
