Just as we reported a few months ago, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines is now launching a facelifted version of its best-selling model in the local market—one that has soldiered on for 12 years since its introduction in 2013.
The updated and still Philippine-made Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is available in three variants, priced as follows:

From the variant names alone, you may have already guessed that the same 1.2-liter MIVEC three-cylinder gasoline engine as before resides under the hood of the 2025 Mirage. This powertrain makes 77hp and 100Nm of torque, and, paired with a CVT, returns up to 22km/L on the highway based on our test of the pre-facelift model.

Let’s go through the changes. The exterior upgrades are subtle, but they do enough to refresh the Mirage G4’s appearance. LED units for the headlamps and taillights improve visibility and lend a more modern look to the car. While these are available only on the CVT variants, the new two-tone machine-finished alloy wheels come standard on all variants. Available exterior colors are Titanium Gray Metallic, Red Metallic, and Cool Silver Metallic, while White Solid may be ordered specifically.

The more important changes are unseen—instead, they are more perceivable from behind the wheel. Hill-start assist and active stability control are now available across the entire 2025 model line, providing a safety net in uphill sections and slippery conditions.
Inside, the same comfort and convenience features as the previous model have been retained. These include a generous trunk capacity of 450 liters, and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top-spec GLS variant gets keyless entry and trunk opening, automatic climate control, and a reversing camera.
Do you think these upgrades are enough for the Mirage G4 to remain competitive against newer contenders? Let us know in the comments.
