Back in April, Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) launched the all-new Hyundai Elantra—the ‘standard’ versions that weren’t the full-on N model. And recently during the launch of the facelifted Hyundai Creta, we were able to take a closer look at the new sedan.
While it’s not exactly our first real look at it, seeing as we’ve had the Elantra N in the market for more than a year now, there are still plenty of aesthetic differences between that and these new sedans. The lines and shapes are all familiar and the headlights and taillights are the same, but the colors and a lot of the exterior trim and interior bits all vary.

First, the variants. In case you missed it, there are five trim levels and three powertrains in total to choose from. There’s the top-of-the-line N Line with the 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 201hp and 265Nm, the HEV variants with the 1.6-liter gasoline mill paired with a battery and an electric motor that put out a combined total of 139hp and 264Nm (147Nm engine), and the base GL trims with the 1.6-liter naturally-aspirated petrol powerplant pushing 126hp and 155Nm.
Transmission options are namely: a seven-speed DCT for the turbopetrol, a six-speed DCT for the hybrid, and a traditional six-speed automatic for the NA engine. Prices range from P1.065 million to just under P1.796 million. You can check out the full lineup below:

The interior layouts are basically the same across the lineup, but as you move up from the GL to the N Line, you’ll get less hard plastic bits and more soft-touch materials around the cabin. The top-spec N Line gets added red contrast trim and stitching on the inside, as well as N badging on the steering wheel and gearshift lever.
