Kia Philippines is giving its top seller a bit of a makeover: This is the Kia Sonet K-Style Edition, limited to just 150 units and going for P1,158,000 each. This puts it between the top-spec SX variant (P1,178,000) and the EX trim (P1,018,000).
According to the carmaker, ‘K’ represents the brand’s Korean roots while ‘Style’ denotes the Sonet’s “expressive design, capturing the individuality and creativity of today’s generation.” The variant-exclusive paint jobs are Sparkling Silver and Aurora Black. The 16-inch alloys are finished in contrasting colors to the body, so black units wear silver rims while silver units come with black wheels.

Finally, the body gets K-Style decals on the rearmost pillar to accentuate the Sonet’s sporty stance and differentiate this variant from standard trim levels.

The powertrain remains unchanged: The Sonet K-Style Edition is still powered by the same 1.5-liter gasoline engine that puts out 113hp and 144Nm of torque via Kia’s IVT. Inside, it has the 10.25-inch multimedia touchscreen as the SX, and is available with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Rounding out the key features is Kia DriveWise, which includes cruise control, lane-keep and lane-following assist, and forward-collision avoidance.

“The Kia Sonet K-Style celebrates the vibrant energy of today’s new generation of drivers,” said Kia Philippines managing director Jay Lopez. “It’s designed for those who want their first car to reflect their individuality, expressive, confident, and ready for new adventures, while embodying Kia’s understanding of what young drivers value most.”
