Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SuperVeloce

In March at the Geneva Motor Show, Lamborghini presented the Aventador LP750-4 SuperVeloce and called it the company's "most sports-oriented, fastest and most emotional" production car ever. Well, the Italian carmaker forgot to add the word "limited" as well since the car will reportedly be limited to just 600 units worldwide.

Lamborghini revealed this little detail at the recent Auto Shanghai motor show, where the car made its Asian debut. Joining the limited-edition Aventador at the show was the Huracan LP610-4, which is the successor to the Gallardo, and the Aventador LP700-4 Pirelli Edition, which was launched in December 2014 and which celebrates the more-than-50-year partnership between Lamborghini and the Italian tiremaker.

As we reported, the Aventador SuperVeloce is lighter by 50kg than the standard model "through enhanced lightweight engineering" with extensive use of carbon fiber. With its naturally aspirated V12 engine putting out 750hp, the SuperVeloce has a power-to-weight ratio of 2.03kg/hp and accelerates from 0 to 100kph in 2.8 seconds before it reaches its top speed of more than 350kph.

"This new car represents the perfect combination of Lamborghini's expertise in lightweight engineering and sophisticated technical features," said Automobili Lamborghini president and chief executive Stephan Winkelmann. "The new Aventador LP750-4 is the most exclusive, purest and most emotional car in our current model range."
