The Lamborghini Huracan will soon be passing the baton to an all-new model. After over a decade of service, the Huracan is heading off into retirement with the replacement coming very, very soon.
So, what will the Huracan successor be called? It’s not official yet, but the name Temerario has been floating around recently. Should that be the case, it’s time to get used to pronouncing that.

Like its predecessor, the Lamborghini Temerario will serve as the junior mid-engined supercar of the company. However, this sports car is set to lose that glorious 5.2-liter V10 engine. Instead, it is said to use a plug-in hybrid arrangement.
It may be electrified, but it’s expected to use a twin-turbo V8 powertrain. The engine in the Lamborghini Temerario is said to be a 4.0-liter while a powerful electric motor is derived from the Revuelto. Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini, has hinted over 850hp in his LinkedIn post.
Historically, the junior mid-engined Lamborghini had an Audi version. This time around, it won’t be the case. Audi has stopped production of the R8 back in March 2024 with no successor in mind. This is the first ‘entry-level’ Lamborghini to not have an Audi equivalent in over 20 years.
So, when is the launch date? It was rather well hidden in one of its press releases regarding Lamborghini sales so far in 2024. The new Supercar will be revealed on August 16, 2024 and will be shown during this year's running of the Monterey Car Week in California.
