Land Rover Discovery

The Land Rover Discovery was first introduced to the world in 1989. If you know your basic math, that was 25 years ago, a milestone we humans like to celebrate. So celebrate is what the British SUV specialist does as it releases this special-edition Discovery XXV. It comes in four body colors: Causeway Gray, Santorini Black, Fuji White and Indus Silver.

Up front, the Discovery XXV features Narvik Black grille surrounds and mirror caps, as well as Dark Atlas features on the grille and the fender vents. There are also the silver full-length roof rails, the body-colored handles and a stainless-steel bumper accessory tread plate. The wheels are newly designed 20-inch five-split-spoke alloys finished in light polished silver. Of course, "XXV" badging is to be expected on various parts of the vehicle.

Inside, Windsor leather is prominent, as seen on the fascia and the instrument panel binnacle. Other interior features include a leather-wrapped wooden steering wheel and "XXV" embossing throughout the cabin.

"Since its inception, the Discovery has been pivotal to the success of the brand, and has now become an iconic design in its own right," Land Rover marketing director Phil Popham. "The Discovery has led the way in terms of innovation, featuring technologies such as Terrain Response, which made off-roading much more accessible. The Discovery XXV Special Edition is the ultimate in sophisticated versatility and a fitting tribute to the legendary status of this iconic Land Rover."

We hope Land Rover Philippines can ship in even just one unit.
