Mazda 6 facelift

At the Los Angeles Auto Show, Mazda revealed its refreshed 6 and CX-5 models. While we didn’t think these Kodo-design models needed a facelift, we appreciate the minor nips and tucks the Japanese carmaker did.

The 6 gets a new grille and new LED headlamps that enhance the handsome sedan’s looks. The CX-5, meanwhile, also receives an updated grille, along with a few frontal tweaks.

Inside, both models get Mazda’s latest tech features: the MZD Connect (Mazda’s smartphone connectivity system), and the i-Activsense advanced safety features. Also, these models will be the first to get Mazda’s Adaptive LED Headlights; these offer better hazard recognition when driving at night.

The refreshed Mazda 6 and CX-5 go on sale in Japan and the US in January 2015, and will roll out to global markets after that. With the exciting new MX-5 and the very promising CX-3 in the pipeline, it looks like next year will be quite busy for Mazda.
