Some say this limited Mercedes-AMG GT 63 is the most expensive F1 merch ever

Forget your baseball caps and puffer jackets: this is what you need to display your affection for Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes F1 in its full, unabashed glory.

This being a limited edition of the 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8-engined AMG GT 63 Pro, the most hardcore of AMG GTs save for that frankly bonkers plug-in hybrid one and its 805hp.

Called the AMG GT 63 Pro 4MATIC Motorsport Collectors Edition (catchy, huh?), it gets the same obsidian black paint as the current Merc F1 car, as well as the silver star treatment on the rear flanks.

It also gets lots of that turquoise-green, familiar to anyone who’s watched F1 with any regularity over the last 14 years as Petronas green. Which has inspired a one-off livery for this weekend’s race, incidentally.

There is lots of said Petronas green. As well as drenching the front splitter, side air intake flicks, side sill panels, those 21in AMG rims (shod in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2Rs), the brake calipers (six-piston ceramic composites up front, one-piston floating calipers out back) and the rear diffuser in the stuff, it can also be found in the form of oodles of stitching inside.

The black Nappa leather and microfiber seats get embossed AMG crests (because of course), and there’s a plaque within the center console to remind you which car you secured from the 200-strong run.

Burmester’s High End 3D surround sound—with its 15 speakers and 1,170 watts of aural magnitude—is standard fit, as is a front axle lift system for speed bumps, much driver assistance tech, a 360-degree camera and AMG’s Track Pace for all your lap time data needs.

Oh, and you get an edition-specific car cover. Can’t be letting the elements ruin that finish now can you?

Turns out we can’t answer that headline question though, because Merc hasn’t actually announced prices yet. But given the Launch Edition version of this thing retails for over £180k (P13.3 million), you can bet your bottom dollar it’s gonna be more expensive than the average F1-branded tat. Well, marginally.
