MG Philippines previewed the all-new MG 3 at the Manila International Auto Show earlier this year. Now, the hatchback has officially arrived in our market alongside the new G50 Plus MPV.
The MG 3 is a stylish five-door with sleek headlamps, a wide grille, and large air intakes up front. At the rear, it gets taillights that match the lamps up front. Overall, it’s got a very simple design.

The biggest selling point of the MG 3 is its hybrid powertrain which is exclusive to the top-spec trim. This consists of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired with an electric motor that together put out a total of 187hp. On top of the added power, this setup promises excellent fuel efficiency.
The other engine option that can be had in the three lower variants is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine that can be paired with a five-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. This generates 118hp and 150Nm of torque. Both engine options feature front-wheel-drive layouts.
Prices for the MG 3 start at P678,888 for the base STD manual variant and goes all the way up to P1.088 million for the hybrid trim. You can check out the price list below. What do you guys think of this new offering from MG?
