A few weeks back, we were able to get confirmation about the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado’s imminent arrival through some documents from the Land Transportation Office. Now, we’ve gotten our hands on more important information regarding Toyota Motor Philippines’ (TMP) upcoming model.

First and foremost, the pricing. A source has told us that there will be, in fact, just a single gasoline variant available for the next-gen Prado, and it’ll be priced at P4.8 million. In true TMP fashion, the White Pearl option will cost would-be Prado buyers an extra P15,000.

Now, before we go on to the specs, we just want to clarify that the photos here are from other markets—the gray one above being a JAOS- and Toy Factory-kitted model. When the Prado finally lands here, it might look a bit different.

Anyway, the specs. The lone engine option is said to be a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that puts out 277hp and 430Nm of torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Of course, 4x4 comes as standard.

We’ve been told the all-new Land Cruiser Prado could also come with all the bells and whistles here in the Philippines, including a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10-speaker setup, multiple drive modes, a power liftgate with a kick sensor, and the full Toyota Safety Sense suite of tech. Those, among many others.

We’re not sure yet if there’ll be an actual launch, but our source says the start of sales could begin in the first week of June. In any case, TMP has yet to make an official announcement, so don’t quote us on this just yet. Once we receive word on this, we’ll keep you posted.
