The all-new 2025 MG ZS is finally here, and we’ve got the full details on its Hybrid+ powertrain.
In the UK, the crossover is available in two trim levels: The ZS SE starts at £21,995 (P1.6 million before taxes), with the Trophy kicking off from £24,495 (P1.8 million before taxes). Both get a 193hp output courtesy of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and electric motor.

That means 100kph is achieved in around 8.7sec, which isn’t keen, though keen fuel-economy enthusiasts will of course be drawn to the MG’s tiny 1.83kW battery and corresponding 45kW generator, which helps it achieve a claimed 23.6km/L on the WLTP cycle. Frugal.

Moving inside, the 2025 model gets a 12.3-inch infotainment and seven-inch virtual driver display pairing, while the safety suite comprises technologies like active emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind spot detection. There’s even something called ‘traffic jam assist’—likely a useful asset for Metro Manila drivers.

If you opt for the Trophy car, the cabin gets tinted rear windows and leather upholstery atop the heated, lumbar-supported seats. You’ll also get a slightly funkier steering wheel, 18-inch Sabre alloys outside, and… that’s about it. Hope you weren’t expecting an Alcantara-coated fridge.
Anyway, the design matches the patent photos we saw a few months back, featuring sleeker light signatures, a thicker grille, and extra cladding out front. It’s more eye-catching than the outgoing model, but do you think it will catch the eye and capture the budgets of subcompact-crossover buyers?
