By the looks of things, this decade will be a very productive one for Mitsubishi Motors. We’re expecting a slew of all-new and/or first-ever models from the brand kicked off by the Triton and XForce.
Among the future models we can expect is the fourth-generation Montero Sport. But further down the line, it appears that the next-gen Mitsubishi Xpander is also waiting in the wings.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines recently showed its launch timeline for 2024 and beyond. Not only do we see a ‘New-Gen Mid-SUV’ in the list, there’s also a ‘New-Gen Small MPV’. Unless the company has another small MPV in mind, there’s a good chance that it is, indeed, the all-new Mitusbishi Xpander.
When can we expect it, you ask? Well, it might be a few more years down the line. Remember, the electrified versions of the Xpander and Xpander Cross just came out, and it seems unlikely that Mitsubishi will roll out the all-new model within a year. But given the addition of hybrid models, we wouldn't be too surprised if the second-generation Xpander (and Xpander Cross) gets that system as well.

With that, the all-new small MPV could make its debut as early as late 2025 or, more realistically, 2026 or 2027. Mitsubishi is still quiet on details at the moment, but it’s safe to say that it’s a model subcompact MPV shoppers are looking forward to in the future.
