Those of you planning to but a brand-new midsize SUV sometime soon might want to hold off for just a bit longer, because Mitsubishi has announced that the refreshed Montero Sport will be revealed later this month.
The Japanese car manufacturer says the unveiling of its new midsize SUV will take place in Thailand (where it’s known as the Pajero Sport) on July 25, 2019. Not much has been made known about the revised model, but the carmaker did release a teaser photo showing the Montero Sport’s new front fascia.
As with most teasers, there’s not a lot to go on here. The new Montero Sport appears to feature a grille with bolder chrome trim as well as a more aggressive lower section. We’ll need to wait for the vehicle’s official reveal to see if the update brings more substantial improvements as well as changes to its performance.
Mitsubishi Thailand also posted a short 14sec teaser video on its YouTube channel. By the looks of the SUV in the footage, it also retains the teardrop taillights out back. Check it out:
