Starting today, motorists can avail of the Nissan Kicks at a lower price across the range. Nissan Philippines has just announced price cuts for its serial hybrid crossover.

The Kicks is a unique model in the electrified vehicle space. It uses a gasoline engine to power a battery, which in turn drives an electric motor. Only the electric motor is connected to the drivetrain. There are pros and cons to this approach, obviously, but the Kicks has been generally well-received.

Nissan Philippines is also extending the battery warranty of the Kicks from five years to eight years, giving more assurance to future buyers.

“We are excited to offer the Nissan Kicks e-Power at a more accessible price point,” Nissan Philippines President Yasuhisa Masuda mentioned. “This initiative supports our mission in providing Filipinos with innovative and sustainable mobility solutions and also aligns with the government's vision of a greener and more sustainable future for the Philippines.”

Here are the new prices of the Kicks e-Power variants:

Nissan Kicks e-Power EL: P1,179,000 (from P1,239,000)

Nissan Kicks e-Power VE: P1,279,000 (from P1,339,000)

Nissan Kicks e-Power VL: P1,479,000 (from P1,539,000)

So Nissan slashed P60,000 across the board for the Kicks. Not a bad price reduction.
