It might seem like you’ve read this before, and if you feel like it, then you probably already have: Nissan Philippines has previewed the next-generation X-Trail.
This isn’t the first time we’re seeing the new X-Trail on Philippine soil—its first local outing was at the Philippine International Motor Show in 2024. This weekend, at the recently concluded Nissan Festival, the Japanese carmaker has brought out the electrified crossover once more.

While no details about it were shared, having it on display in full glory for the public to see should indicate that the model is set to be launched soon. By soon, we mean at the upcoming Manila International Auto Show in April or at PIMS 2026, which is scheduled a little while after.

What we do know about the X-Trail is that it can be had with either a turbocharged gasoline powertrain or an e-Power engine with Nissan’s e-4orce drivetrain. Considering how hybrids have boomed in our market, we won’t be surprised if Nissan Philippines decideds to bring in the hybrid X-Trail.
A few of us here at Top Gear Philippines have actually driven this X-Trail as well, yours truly included. If you want to read about what I have to say about it, click these blue words. What do you guys think of the all-new Nissan X-Trail? Do you reckon we’re finally going to see it launched this year?
