In this week’s edition of one-off Rolls-Royce releases is this: the very bold and very yellow Rolls-Royce Spectre Semaphore. It’s said to be inspired by the coastal regions of sun-kissed California—most probably that view from Tony Stark’s Malibu mansion, we think.
Oh, and what’s that strange thing across its hood? Apparently, the vinyl represents the mountaintops of Southern Cali and took over 160 hours to create. Though you’d be forgiven for thinking one of the apprentices has just tripped over and spilled some silver paint on it.

There’s even more yellowness inside the Semaphore, which has been spread across parts of the seats, the door cards, and the dials, and combines rather well with the the rest of the cream/black look. There are also brushes of Grace White and Slate Gray fused into the Lemon Yellow stitching, with polished wood completing the look. No signs of paint spillage here, mind.

Changes for the Semaphore will remain purely cosmetic, so underneath sit a pair of electric motors putting out 577hp and 899Nm of torque. You’ll also get a bit on either side of 480km of range depending on how vigorously you’re chauffeuring Pepper Potts around. Plentiful, that, for a car of this size.
It’ll be on show at the Monterey Car Week later this month.
