Subaru makes limited-edition WRX STI called tS Type RA

Subaru, through its tuning arm Subaru Tecnica International, has come up with a limited-edition model of its four-door WRX STI Spec C. The car is appropriately called the WRX STI tS Type RA.

Calling it a more extreme, lightweight version of the Spec C, the tS Type RA boasts an 11:1 steering gearbox, six-pot Brembo front brakes, front and rear dampers with tuning coil springs, flexible tower bar and draw stiffener, flexible rear, and pillow-ball bushing rear-suspension link.

The car also rolls on 18-inch aluminum wheels shod in Bridgestone RE070 Potenza tires. To make it stand out from the standard tS, the tS Type RA comes with a black front bumper lip, black side mirrors, and the appropriate tS badges on the grille, the side sill plate and the trunk.

If the equipment on the tS Type RA still isn\'t enough for you, Subaru has an additional NBR Challenge Package to offer, consisting of a carbon-fiber rear spoiler, black BBS forged aluminum wheels, and Recaro front bucket seats.

Subaru is only making 300 units of the tS Type RA, with 200 of these being equipped with the NBR Challenge Package.

Too bad for us and the rest of the world as the WRX STI tS Type RA will only be offered for the Japanese market.
