Because kei trucks don’t have to be boring, the Suzuki Carry has been jazzed up with two new colorways. Drivers in Japan can now spec their units in Tool Orange and Ivy Green Metallic, which are also available on the larger Super Carry.
And yes, it looks like these colors will only be available in Japan. Sadly, we only get the standard white paint job in the Philippines, but these finishes should give local kei truck builders some inspiration for their next project. An off-road-ready Ivy Green Carry sounds pretty cool, right?

Interestingly, these colorways have also been brought over to the Suzuki Every lineup. An orange Every van would make for an equally cool base for a build. And especially with the amount of them up for sale on Facebook Marketplace—but I digress.

Let’s get back to the kei trucks. On these new colorways, the Carry retains its metal finishes, specifically on the grille and the door handles. While it’s a bit unusual to see the Carry in more playful colors, it progressively looks more reserved and easier on the eyes.
On the Carry’s KC Farm variant, the bed is finished with a black outline around the perimeter. It stands out more on the orange paint, but looks just as clean as on the green version. Overall, it’s a nice, simple touch.
As mentioned, these colors are only available in Japan, but Suzuki Philippines actually has its own orange and green colors for specific vehicles. I prefer Tool Orange to the S-Presso’s Sizzle Orange option, and the darker Jungle Green colorway on the Jimny looks more industrial than the mossier, slightly more faded hue on Ivy Green Metallic.
