The all-new Ertiga has finally been launched in the Philippines. Suzuki Philippines officially welcomed its next-gen MPV tonight, and now we have the engine specs and photos to match the prices we reported earlier.

Underneath the hood of this new Suzuki seven-seater is a 1.5-liter engine capable of 103hp at 6,000rpm and 138Nm of torque at 4,400rpm—the same figures produced by the motor that powers Indonesia’s Ertiga units. Depending on the variant you choose, you can get this mill mated to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.

The latest model also rides on the Japanese carmaker’s new Heartect platform. This, Suzuki says, provides the Ertiga with a more rigid body along with improved NVH and comfort levels, and makes the car safer in the event of a collision.

Inside, there are rear A/C vents for better ventilation, and additional compartments and storage spaces for small items. The old steering wheel has also been replaced with a flat-bottom one that not only looks sportier, but also provides better leg clearance.

“All the upgrades on the new Ertiga are designed to give Filipino riders the confidence to enjoy every adventure knowing they and their family are safe and comfortable,” Suzuki Philippines director and automobile division general manager Keiichi Suzuki said in a statement. “With its new features and enhanced functions, the upgraded MPV will definitely enable more Filipinos to live the Suzuki way of life and drive Suzuki Philippines forward.”
