It looks like an all-new Tesla is on the way. The American brand took to X to share a couple of teasers that hint at a new vehicle launch on October 7—more accurately, October 8 in Philippine time. At least we will not have to wait too long to see what Tesla has been cooking up.
The first post revealed what looks to be a new, turbine-inspired wheel design that looks similar to the 20-inch helix wheels on the current Model Y. However, this new wheel is finished in a matte black color, like the 19-inch crossflow option. The Tesla emblem on the cap continues the black finish—something we’re starting to see in the newly refreshed Model 3. The second teaser shows off a pair of rectangular headlights, with no full light bar.

Previous reports suggest that this new vehicle will be a more affordable version of the brand’s best-selling Model Y. It is said to be a simpler version, with fewer features and automated driving functions. Tesla’s Elon Musk confirmed that the less expensive Model Y was already in development back in August, but tomorrow’s launch event will put all rumors to rest.

There is also speculation that one or both of the teasers point towards the long-awaited Tesla Roadster. While that’s more far-fetched, Tesla did confirm that the Roadster is in “design development,” with no definite release date.
The Cybercab is also said to be inching closer to production, but the teasers do not share any similarities to what Tesla has presented before. It really looks like a new Model Y is on the horizon, and we’ll know more tomorrow. Watch this space for the latest updates.
