The Philippines will witness the launch of the next-generation Toyota Vios next month. Despite the car\'s more modern and aggressive design compared to its predecessor, however, a lot of people are still deriding it for its taxicab association.
Well, we went to the Bangkok International Auto Salon last week, and we saw that just a few months after the car\'s debut in our neighboring ASEAN market, Toyota Motor Thailand has already shown off what it can do with the new Vios.
With the Vios Dragon Concept, the standard car has been given a thorough makeover, starting with the blacked-out headlights, redesigned grille, and vented hood. As you walk around the car, you\'ll then notice the flared fenders that house 18-inch TRD wheels fitted with the Toyota tuning arm\'s calipers and lug nuts. When you get to the back, what will get your attention are the redesigned bumper, the TRD muffler, and the carbon-fiber spoiler.
Under the hood, the Vios Dragon Concept\'s engine gets turbocharged. Too bad Toyota Thailand didn\'t share what the power output is.
Do you think these modifications would be enough to silence the new Vios\'s critics?
