Vietnamese carmaker VinFast has now officially opened its dealerships in the Philippines. The first three showrooms are VinFast EDSA, VinFast Alabang, and VinFast ASEANA. These dealers will showcase VinFast’s initial offerings: the VF5, the VF7, and the VF9. As you might know, VinFast’s lineup is all-electric now.

We were also able to get initial prices for the three models. We were told these might not be the final prices, as they could be subject to change before sales really begin in a few weeks. But at least we have an idea of what to expect from the newest car brand in town.

Take note that there are two prices for each model—one for the usual EV that has a battery, and a variant without a permanent battery. VinFast is introducing a new way of selling EVs—a battery subscription. Details are scarce, but you can opt for a monthly battery subscription model, and VinFast will take care of the battery maintenance and replacement as long as you’re subscribed. We’ll share more details when we get them.

VinFast VF5

VinFast VF5

The entry model is the VinFast VF5, starting at P992,000 for the battery-less model and P1,191,000 for the trim with a built-in battery. The VF5 has a range of 326km and can accelerate from 0-100kph in 10.9sec.

VinFast VF7

The compact entry is the VF7, starting at P1,474,000 without a battery and P1,888,000 with a battery for the Base trim. This variant has 430km of range and goes from zero to 100kph in 10-11sec (based on the website specs). There is a Plus trim that has a longer 520km range and faster 5.8sec acceleration to 100kph. The Plus variant starts at P1,871,000 with battery subscription and P2,552,000 for the battery-equipped trim.

VinFast VF9

The VF9 is the full-size crossover with a range of 602km, reaching 100kph from zero in 6.8sec. We were able to sit inside it for a bit, and it’s cavernous. The battery subscription VF9 is P3,103,000 and the battery-inclusive VF9 costs P3,954,000

Both the VF9 and VF7 get 10-year warranties, while the VF5 gets a 7-year warranty.

On the occasion of today’s dealer openings, Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, CEO of VinFast Philippines, shared: “The grand opening of VinFast’s first three dealerships in the Philippines marks a significant milestone in our journey to conquer the potential electric vehicle market here. The attention and support for VinFast in the past has affirmed our brand appeal and potential in the Philippine market. With an increasingly expanding dealer network, VinFast is committed to bringing Filipino consumers high-quality products and dedicated service, contributing to promoting the electrification revolution and improving the quality of life.”
