A few days ago, Vinfast Philippines announced its tentative pricing for its mini EV SUV, the VF3. Now, the Vietnamese automaker is making more noise by revealing its launch date.
The Vinfast VF3 Philippine launch date has been locked in and set for September 17. By then, we will know more details about it, as well as its final pricing. It also seems that the units have already landed in the country, judging by the main photo seen above. But for now, what can we expect from this EV?

Referring to our previous story, the VF3 will have an indicative price of under P800,000. It remains to be seen how far below it stays the target price, but either way, that places it among the most affordable battery-powered vehicles in the country. For comparison, the Dongfeng Nanobox carries a base price of P888,000, while the Jetour Ice Cream rings in at P699,000.
The Philippine specification is yet to be determined, but it could be identical to the one already sold in its home market of Vietnam. That said, it appears that the Philippine version will ride on steel wheels, but it could also be possible that VinFast could offer a higher-spec model with alloys.

The Vinfast VF3 is powered by a single electric motor that sends power the rear wheels. It churns out 43hp and 110Nm of torque. Providing energy to that motor is an 18.64kWh battery pack that gives it an estimated range of up to 210km. By VinFast’s reckoning, charging takes 36 minutes to get from 10 to 70 percent with a fast charger.
As for other features, we’ll have to wait a little longer for that. That said, we’re expecting the usual creature comforts such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and basic safety features like dual airbags and stability control.
