Earlier this year, Volvo revealed the all-new XC60 at the Geneva Motor Show. Now, Volvo Philippines has given a preview of the compact SUV at an exclusive event. The carmaker's Crayfish Party was organized in partnership with Nordic Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza, and the guest list included ambassadors from Scandinavian countries.
“We have a strong heritage in designing stylish and dynamic SUVs that offer the latest in technology. The new XC60 will be no exception. It’s the perfect car for an active lifestyle, and it represents the next step in our transformation plan,” said Volvo Car Group president and chief executive Håkan Samuelsson.
Volvo's all-new vehicle is packed with its trademark safety technology, including features like oncoming lane mitigation, blind spot indication system, and the semi-autonomous pilot assist system. Engine choices, meanwhile, will be between 190hp and 235hp diesels, and 254hp and 320hp gasolines. The latter will be both turbo and supercharged.
“Volvo Philippines is proud to give the market a glimpse of the new XC60, and we are confident this Volvo will once again be a strong player in its segment,” said Chris Yu of Volvo Philippines.
Volvo Philippines is now taking reservations for the all-new XC60, which will be officially launched later this year. Anyone signing up?
