Don't get us wrong—we love teasers. This video from the folks at Honda Thailand, though, feels a lot more like a cliffhanger. Check out our first look at the new Honda City.
The video is only 25 seconds long, and most of the car is hidden in the shadows, so we don't really "see" much of anything save for a few details (and for some reason, a guy strumming a guitar). The headlights are shaped differently from the current model. They now point toward the grille and have a chrome strip up top, giving the illusion that the headlights are scowling.
If we're not mistaken, the new lamps look to be LED with daytime running lights. The taillights, meanwhile, don't seem to have changed much. The car's body shape also looks similar, though it looks longer overall in the video.
The biggest change you'll spot is in the grille. The fat U-shaped bar behind the badge has been replaced with a thinner strip that runs straight across. Coupled with the new headlights, it gives the front facade a much sleeker look.
The official launch in Thailand on January 12 can't come soon enough. Then we'll see what's coming to our market.
