Ducati Philippines is firming up plans to open dealerships in Visayas and Mindanao to cater to motorcycle riders in the southern regions of the Philippines.
The Ducati Davao dealership in Mindanao is slated to open in time for the 17th National Federation of Motorcycle Clubs of the Philippines Convention, which will take place from April 29 to May 1 at the Matina Town Square in Davao City.
Nothing definite has been set for Ducati in the Visayas except that it will be located in Cebu. Ducati Philippines hopes to have its doors open sometime this year.
"A lot of customers have been clamoring for a Ducati dealership in Cebu and Davao so the opening of the two dealerships this year should satisfy their demands," said Ducati Philippines general manager Art Harrow.
Harrow expects the opening of the two provincial dealerships in 2011 to boost Ducati Philippines’s sales even further.
In 2010, Ducati Philippines sold over 80 motorcycles, 20 units more than what the country’s authorized Ducati distributor moved out of its Quezon City showroom in 2009. The distributor has also just opened Ducati Manila South in Makati City.
