Ford Group Philippines has partnered with Avon Philippines in spreading breast-cancer awareness by joining the personal-care product manufacturer in its "2012 Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer" (KGBC) campaign.
As Ford's contribution to the campaign, the American carmaker will showcase an exclusive pink-stickered all-new Ford Fiesta Sport Plus hatchback, which will be used as the official vehicle for KGBC's "Let’s Walk the Talk" project.
The 2012 KGBC series invites Filipinos to not only come face to face with breast cancer but to also deepen their involvement in the cause. Avon's KGBC ambassador, actress Sarah Lahbati, will use the pink Fiesta in events tied to the campaign.
"We are proud to partner with Avon in this worthy advocacy," said Anika Salceda-Wycoco, Ford Philippines' assistant vice president for communications. "The Fiesta is the perfect car to represent our commitment to raising the awareness for breast cancer as it proves to be a popular choice of vehicle among lady drivers."
The pink Ford Fiesta will be at Avon’s various events, which will culminate in the annual "Walk and Run" event on October 21 at the SM Mall of Asia open grounds.
