The Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP), the country's sole auto club recognized as an affiliate by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), has teamed up with Goodyear Philippines to establish the Goodyear Autocare store.
"The AAP partnered with Goodyear because it is the best brand," said AAP president Gus Lagman. "Out of all the brands we spoke with, Goodyear has the best offerings in terms of quality products, reach, knowledge and service."
The AAP-Goodyear Autocare store will be located at 683 Aurora Boulevard in Quezon City, right across the AAP's former office. Besides serving as a store for Goodyear products and offering car maintenance services, the facility will also house the AAP's motorpool and 24/7 call center. It will also offer AAP's existing services like 24/7 towing and ambulance services, international drivers' license processing, and motoring insurance.
Under the Goodyear Autocare service format, the AAP can also offer Goodyear-certified expertise in automotive servicing and tires, as well as enjoy exclusive discounts and promotional opportunities from the tire maker.
"This is a strategic and mutually beneficial partnership that gives Goodyear access to the AAP's vast membership base and services while giving the AAP a valued presence in Goodyear's nationwide dealership network," said Goodyear managing director Gerry Alava. "We are happy that the AAP has put its trust in Goodyear for its service center, and we look forward to a fruitful partnership."
