Honda owners, here’s an important PSA: Honda Cars Philippines has announced two different recalls for several models in its lineup. Inspection, replacement parts, and labor for affected units shall be free of charge, so be sure to check if your unit is part of this service campaign.

The high-pressure fuel pump recall covers 1,351 units, including the Honda CR-V RS e:HEV from the year models 2023 to 2024. According to the carmaker, these fuel pumps “may have cracks on the Core B, which may result [in] gasoline fumes.”

“Due to the decrease in grease amount in the worm gear, meshing area of the Electric Power Steering gearbox during use, the sliding resistance in the meshing area increases and the torque fluctuation becomes larger while turning the steering wheel,” the advisory reads. “This results in an unusual sound and an unsmooth turn from steering while turning, or ‘sticky steering,’ that might make the driver feel a sense of unease.”

Honda assures customers that there have been no reported local incidents arising from these issues.
