At its massive Ayala Malls Manila Bay property, Ayala Group subsidiary ACMobility has opened its newest charging hub. Formerly known as AC Motors, ACMobility has transitioned from doing automotive retail and distribution to a mobility platform that provides infrastructure and digital solutions.
By harnessing the strengths of its parent company, ACMobility wants to address the challenges of EV ownership in the Philippines by providing an end-to-end ecosystem of EVs, infrastructure, and services.

“As we inaugurate the Ayala Malls Manila Bay EV Charging Hub, we are empowering Filipinos to move forward into a sustainable future,” remarked Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility. “This reflects ACMobility's vision of creating an EV ecosystem that provides convenience and value to Filipinos and supports the nation's sustainability goals,” he added.
The latest ACMobility initiative to electrify the automotive industry, so to speak, is a new charging hub near the Almario Road parking entrance of Ayala Malls Manila Bay (this is the wall facing the NAIAX entry).

The new EV Charging Hub has three 22kW AC chargers compatible with both Type 2 and GB/T charging ports, as well as one 120kW DC fast charger compatible with the CCS2 format and can charge two vehicles at a time. Overall the new hub can charge five vehicles at once. It can also charge anything from private vehicles to buses.
To help current and future EV owners even more, ACMobility has partnered with an app that helps people find the charging stations. Evro, an e-Mobility Service Provider built and incubated by 917Ventures, directs users to the nearest charging station. Not only that, Evro will display charger availability and compatibility, let you monitor your charging session remotely, and pay using cashless means. Since Evro is under the Globe Group, all under the Ayala umbrella, you know what cashless method it prefers, and it doesn’t start with an ‘M’.

“Evro comes with perfect timing as we aim to provide a total EV ecosystem for Filipinos to enjoy. The introduction of new charging hubs such as what we launched today, and the development of innovative infrastructure solutions is proof of our strong commitment to providing a seamless, user-friendly charging experience for new and existing EV owners. We welcome interested partners who share the same vision of sustainable mobility to collaborate with us, as we make the EV lifestyle a mainstream reality in the country,” said Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility.

ACMobility remains committed to growing EV ecosystem. Right now it has 70 charging points in 31 locations. “As of July, we’re proud to say we have visibility of over 100 charging locations nationwide, which will be fully rolled out by the end of 2024. We appreciate the unwavering support of our partners in Ayala, and others who share our passion for this, as we continue redefining mobility standards in the Philippines,” Zobel added.
