“As we join forces with Brembo, we are excited to unlock new growth opportunities and leverage our respective strengths and assets to drive innovation and deliver even greater value to our customers and employees.” Ohlins Racing CEO Tom Wittenschlaeger commented on the sale.
With factories and innovation centers all over Europe, the United States and Asia, Brembo and Ohlins, look to the partnership as a way to take their respective leaderships in brake systems and performance-suspension to the next level.
Ohlins Racing is committed to developing the next generation of mechatronic suspension technology as Brembo aims to be poised as the solution provider for future mobility.

Brembo executive chairman Matteo Tiraboschi adds his sentiments, “With this addition, we take another step forward in our strategy to provide integrated intelligent solutions to our customers, leveraging synergies across key technologies in the vehicle’s corner.”
How this will affect distribution and current partnerships is unclear. Brembo and Ohlins both have visiblity in Formula 1, MotoGP, and other motorsport championships.

This deal, however, does signal Brembo’s growing commitment to the two-wheeled business. In 2021, Brembo expanded its portfolio by acquiring SBS Friction in Denmark and J.Juan in Spain, completing its range of braking systems for motorcycles. Brembo also owns Marchesini, a leading brand in the design, and production of lightweight alloy wheels for both road, and track motorcycles.
Then earlier this year, Brembo opened a new factory in Thailand, specifically dedicated to braking systems for motorcycles.
