ACMobility and BYD Cars Philippines have started to get busy this year promoting the carmaker’s products through the BYD Tech Tour. After its recent outing in Laguna, BYD is now bringing its brand closer to students through its display at the De La Salle University.
The BYD Tech Tour at DLSU was made possible through ACMobility’s partnership with the Eco Archers Team, of which the Ayala subsidiary also served as a team sponsor in 2024.
For this leg of the tour, three products were on display, namely: the hybrid Sealion 6 DM-i and the fully electric Seal and Seagull. Visitors were free to get up close and personal with the cars and learn more about what the products have to offer.

BYD Cars Philippines also showcased the Seal’s vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities and demonstrated ACMobility’s charging infrastructure at its booth. There were also raffle prizes and freebies for both students and staff alike.
The report from The Lasallian reads: “The BYD Tech Tour ensures engagement towards Lasallians toward the measures of awareness and information about the particular benefits of using electric vehicle technology and its impact on environmental sustainability. EV technology seeps through the opportunity of creating a new generation of automotive efficiency towards a greener future, putting forth environmental conservation while at the same time enriching advanced research and development in Philippine transportation.”
Personally, it’s nice to see the youth get a taste of what the future of mobility and the automotive industry will be like. What do you guys think? Where should the BYD Tech Tour head to next?
