Continental Tires Philippines, through JM Far East (JMFEI), has launched its Total Confidence Plan, an enhanced warranty program for tires that covers manufacturing defects and road-hazard protection in a single plan. The program applies to Continental’s passenger, SUV, and light-truck tires bought on April 6, 2026 onwards.
For road hazard protection, the program covers irreparable damage caused by everyday road conditions. It is valid for one year from the date of purchase or until the tire reaches 5mm of tread depth, whichever comes first.

The damage covered includes severe punctures, sidewall cuts that expose the tire cords, impact from potholes and broken pavement, damage from road debris, and run-flat damage. For approved claims, customers will receive a one-to-one replacement with a brand-new tire of the same spec or nearest equivalent.

Beyond road hazard protection, the program also includes Continental’s standard warranty against manufacturing defects, with coverage varying by tire age. Manufacturing defect claims are processed under standard warranty guidelines and are subject to pro-rated adjustments, rather than full replacement under the program.

For tires up to six years old, customers receive a five-year manufacturing defect warranty from the date of purchase. In total, you get both road hazard and manufacturing defect coverage for the first year, then only manufacturing defect coverage from the second to the fifth year.
For older tires aged seven to nine years, both road hazard and manufacturing defect coverage are offered for the first year only, after which no further coverage is provided.
To qualify for the program, customers must purchase at least two brand-new Continental tires in a single transaction from authorized dealers or official online stores. Registration must also be completed within seven days of purchase through the Total Confidence Plan portal. Each tire is registered individually and linked to a specific vehicle and customer to ensure proper validation and accountability.
The program also introduces a streamlined and transparent claims process, allowing customers to file and track claims easily. To submit a claim, customers are required to upload photo and video evidence of the damaged tire, followed by a live video inspection conducted by JMFEI’s technical team. Claim results are typically released within two to four business days.

Once approved, replacements are fulfilled nationwide, with estimated availability depending on location: at least five business days for NCR, seven business days for Luzon, and up to 14 business days for the Visayas and Mindanao.
The program is designed to protect against real-world driving risks while maintaining clearly defined limitations.
It does not cover repairable punctures or purely cosmetic damage, nor does it apply to issues resulting from improper use, such as racing or off-road misuse. Damage caused by poor maintenance—including under- or overinflation and misalignment—is also excluded, as are installation-related issues.
The program is not applicable to taxis or car rental vehicles, and does not cover damage arising from external events such as accidents, fire, or flooding.
“Filipino motorists deal with unpredictable road conditions every day.” said JMFEI president Winston Manabat. “The Total Confidence Plan is designed to give them added assurance that their investment is protected—not just against defects, but against the realities of the road.”
