Isuzu Philippines has just donated 205 customized trucks to the Philippine Army. The new fleet comprises light- and medium-duty units, outfitted with troop carrier bodies to further optimize the transportation of cargo and personnel. These vehicles are also expected to be used in emergency response situations and disaster relief operations.
Overall, the new trucks should help the Army operate more efficiently—and look good while doing it. The green paint job looks very clean, and the similarly colored grille guards add some extra style points. While we prefer the blacked-out wheels, the matching green steelies look good, too.

As mentioned, light- and medium-duty trucks make up the Army’s new fleet. Respectively, these are the NPS and FTS models, which come standard with 4x4 drivetrains and Euro IV-compliant engines.

In total, Isuzu’s donation included 117 NPS trucks and 88 FTS units. Dealers Isuzu Makati and Isuzu Tagum assisted the Japanese carmaker in forming the fleet. The Army has also been assured that after-sales support will be made available to them through Isuzu’s nationwide dealer network.

“Isuzu has long been a trusted partner of various industries and institutions in the country, supporting mobility and progress,” said Isuzu Philippines executive vice president Yasuhiko Oyama.
“Today, we are honored to extend this role in contributing to national defense by providing vehicles that will support the Philippine Army in fulfilling its mission to serve and protect the Filipino people.”
