SM Supermalls has progressively developed its EV charging network, now boasting over 160 stations across 73 sites. While many of these chargers are found in Metro Manila, the property operator has also erected charging hubs at several of its provincial locations.
Most stations make use of AC Type 2 chargers with a maximum output of 7.4kW, with select malls also featuring 80kW DC fast chargers. However, these do not include the Tesla Supercharger found in SM Mall of Asia, which holds a 250kW output capacity.
Interestingly, SM Bataan offers a GBT-type charger, which is only compatible with a select number of electric cars. At the time of writing, SM-operated charging stations are free to use, with a maximum charging time of three hours.
