Top Gear Philippines

With the proposed excise tax law moving forward, people are buying new cars left and right, and carmakers know this. Honda Cars Philippines (HCP) push this month is in the form of discounts and low down payment plans.

But something in the press release caught our attention. For those who will get a new CR-V or Odyssey EX, the Japanese carmaker will include body kits or accessories for free.

Buyers of the CR-V can choose between two free body kit options: a Modulo Aero Kit or a Modulo Trekker kit. Odyssey EX buyers can opt for either front foglights, front and rear sensors, or an additional P10,000 cash discount. If you’re bothered that HCP didn’t bother including sensors from the onset, remember that the Odyssey EX already has a backing-up camera.

The CR-V also has a special offer where you can get a 2.0 V MT variant for an P18,000 down payment, and the BR-V S CVT can be driven off the showroom for P62,000. You can also opt for extended warranties under Honda’s new Protect Plus Extended Warranty.

These offers can be availed of until the end of this month, under a promo Honda calls “Shower of Savings.” Whether the excise tax law pushes through or not, it really is a good time to buy.
