Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), through the HARI Foundation, Inc. (HFI) has rolled out its BIYAHEnihan program to provide much-needed transport during this fight against the COVID-19 outbreak.
Under HARI’s #HyundaiSAGIP flagship disaster relief program, the carmaker will be able to help transport healthcare workers and medical supplies to the St. Francis Cabrini Medical Center in Sto. Tomas, Batangas, and to the Dr. JP Rizal Memorial District Hospital in Calamba, Laguna. Hyundai has already deployed a Grand Starex, a County Bus, and an HD65 as of this writing.
In addition, HARI and HFI have also provided 2,500 pieces of personal protective equipment to the frontline healthcare workers at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital, one of the country’s official COVID-19 referral centers.
“We hope that this contribution will sustain and inspire our heroic frontliners in Southern Luzon. HARI will continue to fill in the gaps as we continue our collective battle to flatten the curve,” said HARI president and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo.
Other carmakers here in the Philippines have also begun doing their parts to reach out a helping hand amid this pandemic. To read more on those—as well as to read our other previous stories on the ongoing crisis—click here.
