Jetour Auto recorded an impressive 550,000 in global unit sales in 2024, marking a year-on-year increase of 83.9%. The Chinese carmaker has set up shop in 65 countries, including right here in the Philippines. In our home market, Jetour Auto Philippines (JAPI) has a dealership network of 23 facilities scattered across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The brand is relatively young, having only been established seven years ago. In that time, Jetour has sold more than 1.5 million vehicles, garnering a wide customer base outside of China. While Jetour is probably best known for its adorable Ice Cream EV and the rugged T2 4x4 SUV, the carmaker has a bedrock of hybrids and traditional ICEs targeted at the mass market.

For 2025 and the years to come, the global and Philippine markets can expect an optimistic expansion from Jetour with the release of new key models.
Jetour is expected to roll out an electrified version of its T2 4x4 SUV, namely the Jetour T2 i-DM. While the T2 is for the off-roaders and adventurers, urban drivers who want the overland aesthetic can look forward to the debut of the Jetour T1. The T1 is the smaller sibling to the T2, but it should slide in smoothly with the more conservative Dashing series.
Locally, JAPI recently introduced the Jetour X70 Lightning i-DM, its seven-seater hybrid SUV. The X70 lineup already has quite a number of variants and trims that are geared toward different lifestyles. The hybrid version looks to be a catch-all configuration that should intrigue car buyers with its 1,200km driving range and modern interior.
It looks like the Chinese influx shows no sign of abating this 2025.
