Well, that was quick. Barely a week has passed since Toyota teased the new GR Yaris for the Philippines. Now, the company has released official prices for the hot hatchback.
But before we get to that, what exactly is new with the updated Toyota GR Yaris? Well, it’s safe to say that the changes aren’t just for aesthetics. It’s mostly functional, and there’s even a little more punch under the hood.

The local-spec GR Yaris finally gets the new look bumpers at the front and rear. The changes were made mainly for aerodynamic reasons, as well as cooling enhancements for the engine and brakes. There will be those who will say it’s not the prettiest update, but the primary focus here is pure functionality, not style.

One can say the same about the interior. So far, the internet has been divided on the new dashboard, but Toyota says it serves a purpose. It’s as slab sided as they come, but the main reason for the change is to make all the buttons and dials within easy reach for the driver.
Now, for the main highlight, the engine. It’s still the same 1.6-liter, three-cylinder turbo, but there’s more power this time around. It boasts 276hp and 390Nm of torque, but sadly, the 300hp and 400Nm tune seen in the Japanese and European versions of the GR Yaris isn’t coming here. Still, an increase is an increase, right?
Also, it’s now available with an eight-speed automatic option. But for those who prefer three pedals instead of two, the six-speed manual is still around. As for prices, check out the list below.

2025 Toyota GR Yaris prices and variants:
- Toyota GR Yaris MT — P3,391,000
- Toyota GR Yaris AT — P3,550,000

What you see there are the base prices for the car. If you want a different color other than white, then it’s an extra P20,000.
