Kia Philippines is in full celebration as the maiden batch of the Kia Technician’s Boot Camp (KTBC) has officially earned their stripes. The boot camp was launched in September 2024 as a way to further develop Kia technicians and open up doors for international training opportunities.

The top graduates are now set to represent the Philippines at the 12th Kia World Skills Cup in Seoul next year.

The curriculum of the KTBC comprises advanced training in ICE and EV servicing as well as leadership skill development. “Through the KTBC program, we’re creating pathways for Filipino technicians to grow their careers locally and globally,” said Rommel Rammos, after-sales director of Kia Philippines. “This initiative provides them with the essential skills to thrive in an ever-evolving automotive industry and prepares them for leadership roles within Kia’s global network.”

Graduates of the KTBC are now proficient in Kia Diagnostic Systems and other essential troubleshooting tools, expanding their expertise to the entire Kia lineup.

The boot camp was implemented with support from education partners Don Bosco Makati and Batangas State University. Together with KPI, the two institutions provided intensive, hands-on, and specialized training to the 15 cadets. Key figures from ACMobility then provided leadership training and character-building expertise.

The next batch of cadets is scheduled to enter the KTBC in August later this year.
