Lotus Manila is opening its showroom later this month, but as a prelude to that, the British high-performance car brand is showcasing its latest vehicles this weekend.

From September 6 to 8, 2024, the Lotus Emira and the all-electric Lotus Eletre SUV will be on display at Power Plant Mall in Makati. Mall-goers who stop by can check out the cars up close from 11am to 10pm, and even test-drive the models on site.

In early 2022, local Lotus distributor Autohub Group said the Emira will be priced at P8,888,888 in the Philippine market. This model is the brand’s last combustion-engined car, and comes with two engine options: a Toyota-developed 3.5-liter supercharged V6 good for 400hp and 430Nm, and a Mercedes-AMG-supplied 2.0-liter turbo straight-four that makes 360hp and 430Nm. As of Autohub’s last update in mid-2023, both versions will be available locally.

Meanwhile, the Eletre is the carmaker’s first super-SUV, joining contemporaries like the Porsche Cayenne and the Lamborghini Urus. Its direct rivals may have had quite a big head start, but the Eletre arrives ready for the electric future, with the basic dual-motor spec making 600hp and 710Nm, and the triple-motor R variant generating 900hp and 986Nm.

We’ll learn more about the local pricing, specs, and availability of these models once Lotus Manila officially opens its Bonifacio Global City showroom doors on September 16. In the meantime, drop by Power Plant if you want to see its offerings.
