The local distributorship of Lynk & Co in the Philippines is officially changing hands: Geely Motor Philippines has announced that the brand “will be officially integrated” into its operating system as part of the ‘One Geely’ strategy.
In case you need a backgrounder, Lynk & Co was the product of a partnership between Volvo and Geely in 2016. It entered the Philippine market in 2024, under United Asia Automotive Group (UAAGI). That same year, Zeekr became the brand’s majority owner with a 51% stake, with Geely Auto retaining the remaining 49%.
With the local restructuring, Lynk & Co hopes to “enhance its market responsiveness, accelerate product introduction and market expansion, and continuously address the evolving demands of local consumers for premium mobility.” The operational integration is also a way to speed up the expansion of its dealership network to better cater to buyers and owners.

“We sincerely appreciate UAAGI for their continuous support and contributions to Lynk & Co’s growth in the Philippines,” said Ye Qin, Geely Auto International’s general manager of ASEAN RHD business unit. “Since Lynk & Co entered the Philippine market, UAAGI has actively driven the brand’s local market development, laying a foundation for expanding our presence and serving local consumers.
“The Philippines remains a crucial market for Lynk & Co’s long-term development. Moving forward, we will continue to increase our investment in the Philippine market, enrich our product lineup, optimize our sales and service infrastructure, and enhance user experience, delivering better mobility experiences tailored to local consumer needs.”
To this end, Geely has also confirmed that the Lynk & Co 900 will make its Philippine debut in the fourth quarter of 2026. We’ll be putting out a story with more details on this flagship SUV.
While Geely has an established presence in the country, Geely Motor Philippines itself officially began operations in February 2025, when it took over the management of the brand from Sojitz G Auto Philippines, the previous distributor. Prior to that, Geely first entered the local market under Auto China in 2011.
